Hi all, I bought a White Muscat grape vine in July and as yet nothing has happened. Have I bought a stick or might it yet show signs of life, either this year or the next?

Hi Harry
I wouldn't give up just yet. So many of my plants were so late coming out of dormancy this year. I have four grapes. I transplanted 3 through winter. Two came back early, however one is only now starting to sprout from near the base. I would probably give it at least another couple of weeks. Vanessa

All the grapes here are well underway with 1/3+ sized bunches.
I would scrape the bark and see if its green underneath or now a dry twig.

Thanks for that lilitheleanor, I haven't as yet thrown it out as I'm still hoping.

I think my grape plant above the ground is dead, but it is definitely shooting from the soil level. Grapes are very tough plants. I hope yours comes back soon.

I just had a bit of a scrape at the bark , it looks like it has become an expensive stick. There is no sign of life at all, it is quite dry and brown at the cambium.
