Edward3 says... Hi Trina. I have grown a couple of varieties in Sydney (Hawaiian pink, Mexican white) and they are all suitable. BUT fruit fly is a big problem, as well as various animals such as fruit bats. Netting will not stop them. I gave up in the end and removed all my guava trees. As for the foliage, it's not particularly special. You would do better with a persimmon tree which changes to autumn colours at the end of summer. It's also a bit easier to protect from fruit flies if you buy the non-astringent varieties. | About the Author Edward3 CARLINGFORD,2118,NSW 15th May 2020 3:33pm #UserID: 1655 Posts: 172 View All Edward3's Edible Fruit Trees |
