Heading Code Cable

Hello Everyone

I've got a few plants that I would like to ensure don't get to cold. I'm very new to this but understand that chills don't like to get below 13C and I'd like to have them going as long as possible. I've also got a Miracle plant that I understand really doesn't like the cold(though its potted).

All this has lead me to look at headed cables/cords. One example is

The idea here is tat you bury these in the ground. I'm not 100% clear on the details but it looks like you are supposed to embedded them in a layer of sand before hand. I have existing plants already planted so this wouldn't be ideal in that respect.

There does appear to be plenty of these from overseas(often 120VAC) though a few are from the UK or Europe which at least work at 240VAC.

I have seen a few aquarium and reptile cables that look somewhat suitable but I very much like the idea of the self regulating varies (these are all American and switch at 74F or 77F). I There appears to be none of these for 240VAC....

The other part of this is that there seems to be somewhat random lengths of none heated and heated sections of the cable. You of course don't want the part of the cable right next to the plug to get warm. An some cable seem not to be waterproof!

So does anybody have any recommendations?

Thanks
