It looks like a Randia fitzalanii.
It might also be now called Atractocarpus.
Its called Yellow mangosteen, but its not a true mangosteen. The fruit is edible but plain and seedy, its ok, a bit like very weak black sapote. The tree is related to Coffee and has beautiful white gardenia scented flowers, lots of them.
It has big 3" fruit,there is another very similar related tree with smaller fruit.
There are other Randia also, small shrubs in the understory.
