Diana says... Hi Audrey, It is a weevil (s species from a large family of beetles). It is probably sheltering in the shade and not harming your strawberries. They tend to eat grain/seeds, wood, decaying woody debris or bark, rather than fruit. Some species might eat leaves (I think one eats grape vines).
