Amanda I have not seen a fruitfly in a long time.That fruit is a star gooseberry which is closely related to bilimbi and starfruit.

John the naranjillas are used in a variety of dished as the sour ingredient,put in salads and even used as a lemon substitute.The citron and cacao were from trees planted in the park I mentioned before.
Tropicals and equatorials are most vulnerable to cold while they are small.

Wow..that's funny Mike - I just took a pic yesterday for you too :D Yes - these are the two types...

Maybe it's the way the are grown tho...cos sometimes they are not as good? This yellow onse wasn't as yummy as the green one.

I guess they may not always reach their full potential when grown in a cooler climate perhaps..?

(ps: Diggers sell some nice varieties of musk melons too..the japanese one's)
