You can buy jerusalem Artichoke roots for cooking then cover with a thin layer of soil then you will have them grown to plants in about a month. Be careful I was told they are weed. once you have them you will always have them.

Wish I'd read this thread sooner - my place is overrun with Jerusalem artichokes - they grow like the triffids and I have never even eaten them before. A friend gave them to me and in fact planted them (I thought she was a friend).

Does anyone in the Perth region have J. artichokes to spare? I used to grow them but can't find them anywhere.This is a good time to plant them - I think. Thanks.
