Loquat tree seeding

    0 responses

My loquat trees are probably 15 years old judging by their size. They have fruited for the past 7 years since I bought the property, but this year they just set seed. Any idea why and how often this happens?
Also, almost every seed has germinated and it's a backbreaking chore to pull each of the seedlings out. Is there a quicker/better way of ridding the ground of the thousands of seedlings that have germinated?
