Benjamin Messenger starts with ... We have recently under gone local council works in our yard and part of this was the relocation of our 30year old mature Manadrin tree, we maintain the tree to approx 4 x 4 metres. unfortunatly the tree has died a few months later after going into shock. Attached are images of the tree in July 2019 a week prior to the move and a second image from this week 3 months after the move. I'm just looking for help on an estimated replacement value so that we can put this to council for compensation and or possible replacement. any feedback is welcomed and appreciated | About the Author Benjamin Messenger shailer park 25th November 2019 11:48am #UserID: 21279 Posts: 2 View All Benjamin Messenger's Edible Fruit Trees |
jakfruit etiquette says... Any advanced Citrus in a half wine barrel etc from a plant nursery could be priced minimum $ 300 to $ 1000. A fruiting mandarin should be worth more, based on factors such as the decorative and shade value, the value of the fruit produced if you have to buy it, say $4 per kilo retail x the kilo of fruit on the tree ( 50 kilo ? )which is $200 per year, minimum then over the remaining productive life of the tree say 10 or 20 years, say $ 2000/$4000 minimum for the fruit. Commercial mandarins could yeild 100 to 150 kg per tree, per season, so the fruit value could be much higher. You can adjust these figures by real values, ie true price of fruit and actual previous kilo yeild of fruit from your tree. You may consider the value of Citrus trees in commercial production, ie value of an acre of Citrus, divided by number of trees per acre to give you the value of a tree. Since your tree is gone, you also need to consider the loss of fruit till replacement, and the extra work to care for and establish the new tree. Also you may consider compensation for the distress the episode has caused. | About the Author jakfruit etiquette vic 1st December 2019 8:21am #UserID: 5133 Posts: 915 View All jakfruit etiquette's Edible Fruit Trees |
