Fruitylicious1 says... Hi KrishCas I presume that you are a coffee connoiseur for searching such a rare variety of oftentimes superb quality type of cuppa. Nowadays it is mainly grown in south America in small plantations high up in the mountains predominantly in Nicaragua and to a lesser extent in Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico. It is not widely grown because of high production cost due to its low yield and labor intensive relative to the size of the tree. In Australia, there is a thriving coffee growers industry from Coffs Harbor in NSW to the Atherton Tablelands in QLD. It is better to ask the association (Australian Subtropical Coffee Association) if any of their members are growing maragogype type of coffee tree. But mainly their produce is around 90% rojo catuai and about 5% amarillo catuai varieties the rest are a mixed of hybrids and robusta cultivars. If you happen to visit South America go there between October to March during the coffee harvest season so you can get the freshest maragogype coffee seeds for you to take home or mail to Australia if customs will allow you. Goodluck to your search. As Always....Happy gardening :-) | About the Author Fruitylicious1 TAMWORTH,2340,NSW 15th April 2018 7:52am #UserID: 16885 Posts: 709 View All Fruitylicious1's Edible Fruit Trees |
