Linton says... I don't think that the above statement is correct and is perhaps a little misleading. John's postcode indicates that he is located in Victoria, so the WAOL list is not relevant to what can be imported into Victoria or the rest of Australia. As far as I can see, Mimosa Borealis is not listed on Bicon as an approved species so is NOT OK to import into Australia. To avoid disappointment, it's a good idea to read the new regulations introduced by Aqis last December on their site to understand the new requirements for importing seeds, whether permitted or not. As for live plants, there are hardly any that can enter Australia without undergoing a lengthy and very expensive quarantine procedure.
