Hi
I purchased the above plant in March and planted in a fairly large planter box in full sun.

The plant lost its leaves in winter and then in Spring sprouted new leaves.
The leaves no seem to be dying off.

I am located on central coast of NSW Erina/Terrigal, we have had a fair bit of rain over last few months but drainage is good in planter boxes.

Advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi RobCC,

There may be 2 scenarios:

1. Plant get more water than it needs. You need to dig up the soil around the root zone to see if it is too wet which indicates the plant is drowning.

2. Over fertilizing, in this case soil is just moist but not wet. You may find root burns and dying or rot.

Either cases I suggest to put it back in the 300mm pot with new potting mix and put it under shade. No fertilizer until new shoots come out. Cheers.

Hi

Thanks for advice.
I checked the roots and the soil was damp but not wet.
The fertilising has been slow release fertiliser.

I'll try the pot option but, I think its too late, all the leaves have no gone.
