neem tree problems

    8 responses

I have about 20 neem trees planted and several have lost their leaves, first turning brown and limp. They were hale and healthy looking prior to this. Not sure what to do to bring them back, or what the problem might be.

They can tend to be semideciduous in hot or dry weather, but usually regrow once wetter conditions return.

Andy I have a neem tree and could probably send cuttings of that as well.My one just booms all year and I hack it back but it does volunteer mulch for more prized trees. It sounds like your garden is in a rapid expansion phase.

Are Neem trees viable in Sydney? I bought a couple but they've lost all their leaves; just wondering if they'll come back in spring. They are in pots.

Yeah I met up with John Mc ! Great fella ... Showed me round his garden oasis and gifted me quite a few things . Got some things from you inn smaller pots I can't recognize but will keep alive till bigger if it helps . I organized to head back maybe in October for some different things . So glad I found you guys on here . I have quite a few things now between my huge Daleys orders and good folk like you . I think the pepper is ok ... Not long till it goes outside in cold frame , then really outside .

Well howdy Andy. Most of what I obtained from lucy and john has survived with just a few unfortunate casualties.I am particularly impressed with the pit pit ,yanang and 3 babacos that survived.I will soon put out local feelers to get rarer or better plants and will propogate also.I may have to defy my better judgement and do some neem.
