Panama is a more tropical region passion fruit - so it would be outside of its ideal zone. BUT ... microclimates can do amazing things. Protect it from the cold (and definitely protect from the frost) and you might get lucky. Alternatively you could look at a more cold suited passionfruit or hardy kiwi.
