Hi JP

Normally turmeric are planted during September and October in sub tropical climate because they go dormant during winter. Now if you have a mini greenhouse you can move the plant inside during winter for extra warmth to keep it growing. If you don't put it in a sunny spot during winter. Just be mindful of over watering and prolonged rainfall during winter. Too much water during the cooler months will make the tubers to rot and die.
