MyrtleTurtle says... They won't cross pollinate because they are genetically identical, hence the pollen on one tree's flowers is the same as the pollen from the other tree's flowers. The good news is that I think all pomegranate trees are highly self-fertile, meaning cross-pollination is not necessary. The link: https://www.daleysfruit.com.au/buy/pomegranate-azerbaijani-tree.htm says under the heading 'Plants required to pollinate' that 1 plants is required. Granted, that is a bit ambiguous, but they mean 1 single plant to begin with, not 1 more. As it says in parentheses: (Self-pollinating). | About the Author MyrtleTurtle PROSPECT,2148,NSW 26th February 2019 10:23pm #UserID: 6913 Posts: 46 View All MyrtleTurtle's Edible Fruit Trees |
