Julie says... Possums use my paulownia as a jumping off point to get to the roof, but I haven't noticed any damage. It is quite a large tree. But beware of planting near the house - it has cost me a fortune in plumbing bills to remove roots from pipes! They also climb into my flame tree - Erythrina indica (I think), and I've not noticed any damage. The parrots do an enormous amount of damage, so maybe I can't tell the difference, but it doesn't affect the tree. They are an extremely fast-growing tree - you can cut off a fairly large branch in winter and stick it into the ground, like a giant cutting. I love the cheerful red flowers in winter! | About the Author Julie Roleystone WA 20th February 2018 8:14pm #UserID: 154 Posts: 1842 View All Julie's Edible Fruit Trees |
