Can you offer any advice to keep the possums away from the apples. My Anna has 12 apples on it at the moment but they are dwindling, even with a net over it and spraying with possumoff and Skat. HELPPPPPPPPPPP! Maureen

Thanks, but a gun would not be a choice in Mudgeeraba, a suburb of the Gold Coast. Too many guns around on the coast let alone in the hinterland. Maureen

I think the best way is to get a heap of chicken mesh to fully cover the tree. And when they are about to turn red is when you put it over it. It is an eye saw but apples turn red prety quick.

The possums wait until just before they are ready for people. It happened to me.

The possums are eating or sampling the fruit before they are ripe/red. Maybe not as picky as elsewhere. I have bird net over them at the moment and am going to put paper bags over each when it stops raining here. Maureen

The possums in my garden are eating the pears which are nowhere near ripe. Some of them they have sunk their teeth in and then obviously decided they are not ripe enough and just left them. Grrrr.
