My mango always looks like this, and rarely flowers or fruits. It has plenty of sun and water - is it possum damage? should I cut it right back?

I can see a cable near the top of the tree and that could possibly be the way a possum gets to the tree and eats new growth. They only eat new leaves and flowers. That's what happens with our tree and so we cut it back significantly. It is also a good idea to open up the tree to get better air flow through it - it reduces fungus problems like anthracnose. In other words, reduce the number of internal branches.
