No, Julie; you're right. In Sydney we are seeing leaves on deciduous trees and it's been up to 25º by the coast though it's still cold at night. For example, forecast for Wednesday is 9º - 24º. Today we'll have a high of 20º - it's spring.

If you have a normal keyboard just use Alt and 167 on the numerical keyboard to the left hand side.

OR,
if you have a reduced keyboard like my laptop Just copy this:

°

into notepad and copy and paste it when needed. I work off a laptop that doesn't seem to work with the special alt characters, so that's what I do, there's probably an easier way no doubt.

That's funny, for me to get the degC symbol (º), I use Alt, then 423 on the numerical numbers on the right side of the keyboard.

Alt & 935 gives me a smaller (º) :-)
(must be in an email only? :-/

we had 16-28 the other day. Back to 11-25 now, but the world is looking better all of a sudden. With a full month without rain (0mm) we could use a drop or two to make everything burst into life.
