Square foot gardening

Hi everyone

My raised beds are being filled tomorrow (though will take a few days) and I'm thinking about planting winter veggies. I'll get some seeds started today in anticipation.

So, I've been reading up on square foot gardening and saw a display on it at Garden Week. Does anyone do it? Do you do the Mel's mix?

Ta
Bye

Getting a little cool for seed starting now, though with some exceptions. Probably best to buy seedlings at this stage.

I find the absolute best month for seed sowing in Perth is March, then early April. They seem to really 'take off' then. Any later and the plants are a lot slower I find.

I am a bit behind this year, but have most things in.

Oh, I did a post and lost it!

Beds are half filled, I should be able to be planting early next week!

I was going to go through the veg gardening in wa book (by ag dept) and plant what it says I can still plant now. I'm a bit later than hoped for with the garlic, but it only came last week, so I'll plant it anyway and hope for the best. April was a bit summery anyway, maybe it will turn out to have been for the best.
