ADD starts with ... I've been growing a strawberry guava for 2 years in Phoenix. I am disappointed in the color of the fruit. It is just bearly pink. In fact when I make juice or syrup it is brown. The plant seems to be healthy. In fact I just pruned it back hoping I'd get bigger and less fruit. Am I missing nutrients? or do I have the right location (western exposure). I think it gets enough water. | About the Author ADD Phoenix 6th September 2019 2:59am #UserID: 20821 Posts: 1 View All ADD's Edible Fruit Trees |
Pauline Staff of Daley's Nursery says... Is that in the USA? Perhaps its your cold winter, if that's the case. They are prone to going brown when crushed, so maybe juice is not the best use for them, unless its consumed straight away. You could try the addition of some trace elements if you suspect that may be the case. | About the Author Pauline Staff of Daley's Nursery Kyogle 12th September 2019 2:40pm #UserID: 19813 Posts: 87 View All Pauline Staff of Daley's Nursery's Edible Fruit Trees |
