Tree Waratah

Am having problems growing the Tree Waratah in Brisbane. A couple have failed now - soil is not great but Ok and built up with lots of home-made compost (almost everything grows eventually) and we use potable bore water relatively regularly - I guess I am thinking that these plants might be particularly susceptible to drying out?
Thanks
Kim

Banged the nail on the head - Tree Waratahs like water, and are especially susceptible to dry spells when young, but more tolerant once established. They don't like boggy soils however.

Hi Pademelon1 - Thanks for that info - I will try again but this time make sure the water stays upto the plant until well established
Cheers
