Pademelon1 says... Banged the nail on the head - Tree Waratahs like water, and are especially susceptible to dry spells when young, but more tolerant once established. Kim starts with ... Am having problems growing the Tree Waratah in Brisbane. A couple have failed now - soil is not great but Ok and built up with lots of home-made compost (almost everything grows eventually) and we use potable bore water relatively regularly - I guess I am thinking that these plants might be particularly susceptible to drying out?
