Trees arrived in poor condition

Peter B starts with ...
Two of my three raisin trees arriving in extremely poor condition. Be careful when ordering trees by mail order. Delivered and left in the sun, late, and not as instructed - in the (open) garage.

Peter, Daleys can't control what happens when plants depart the nursery. I have always found the shipping and quality of plants from daleys to be excellent.

I'm sure greg will sort you out.

Well, a business also includes its supply lines. Quality control also includes monitoring suppliers. I have ordered 3 times from Daleys, the first two perfect, the third really bad. Sure, the couriers did not fulfill their obligations either. And yes, Greg from Daleys has offered to fix this up. It's important to keep a eye out for deliveries, and if at all late, call - even though the courier company does not have a phone contact number. In hot weather, assume that the trees will be left in the worst possible position.

Order late Autumn through to late Winter so that the heat is not a problem.
Don't think I would risk planting out a tree that I had paid good money for in this hot weather and dry gusty winds.
