Twisted broken banana leaves

    0 responses

Hey Guys, my banana trees have a problem that I can't find on Google! Everytime a new leaf tries to unfold it twists and tears it's self so badly that often the top half falls off. Sometimes the leaf gives up and doesn't even fully unfold.
This has been happening for about 5 months( they are about 7 months old).

They have all grown very quickly and there is no signs of bug damage. They are feed with woodchip, compost and seaweed and lots of rain. The varieties effected are Red Dacca and lady finger.

Has anybody seen this before or could offer some advice?

Thanks a bunch!
