Linton starts with ... Somethings been eating all the leaves on my watermelon berry bush and I would like to know what to do about it. It must have happened just in the past day when some animal or insect has come along and eaten all the leaves half off from head to toe on the stem in just one go. Since I did not see it happen I have no idea what type of creature has caused this. Therefore I would be interested in suggestions as what type of pest may have been responsible along with suitable remedies. As far as I know there are no grasshoppers around here. Thank you.

Linton says... The latin name doesn't really give me any clues as to what pest is eating the leaves but its Streptopus amplexifolius, sometimes called Watermelon Berry - see wiki. You can also see picture of the fruit here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Streptopus_amplexifolius_13.JPG | About the Author Linton NOBLE PARK,3174,VIC 20th November 2018 1:51pm #UserID: 2286 Posts: 994 View All Linton's Edible Fruit Trees |
