Which 'fruit tree' plantings

Greg_Ess starts with ...
Hey folks ... Geographicxally we situated are about 20klms south of Maryborough Qld.

I am wanting to plant a single row of various types of fruit trees towards one side of our adjacent 1/2 acre vacant block ...

The block is rectangular in shape measuring 32m front and rear, then 67m to either side. There will only be a large shed, a good clean flowing bore and a few water tanks situated across most of the rear boundry of 32m. I am also incorporating a large 8m diameter circular 'greenhouse / pergola' which is to be placed centrally to the entire block. This is to serve as my gardening/hobby 'fix' rather than creating masses of area to look after.

I envisage the fruit trees to be planted approximately 4m in from the long opposite side boundry and have an interval of approximately 4m to 5m between each.

So finally ...

(1) ... what would be your favorite, number 1 pick for these 12 assorted fruit trees bearing in mid of course there is no real limit to size ... and

(2) ... what would be an ideal pick as a large ever green feature tree for the opposite side towards the front of that same vacant block that will not prove to be a constant burden ... TIA ... Greg
