Will FEIJOA do well in zone 7?

I would like a hedge that is evergreen, edible, and 5+ feet tall. I've discovered the Feijoa, however, I've read different articles where it lists zone 8+, but some say 7+. Would Feijoa work in my zone? We are rarely below 15F, but it does happen. I would be willing to cover them in the very cold temps, if I had to.

Link to the Feijoa that I would like.

Ha - you leave no real indication of where you reside on this planet - In Australia we dont use Zones numbers?

Feijoas are pretty hardy and can take a frost if thats what you need. just saw 15f - not used here since 1965 - go Metric - you could be stretching it but worth a try?

Sorry about that. I am in the USA. Zone 7: We do get to 15F (-9C) in the winter at times. Last year, it was down to zero, and it was in the negatives with wind chill. This year has been quite warm. The coldest temps we have had this year so far were 17F (-13C). Sounds like I might could make it work, but only if I were to cover them in the winter.
