I like to know whether the multi grafted apple tree is suitable to grow in HORNSBY of Sydney area (NSW 2077). I am interested in Apple 3 Way - Gala, Pink Lady, Red Delicious.

Hi polly-rose,

Pink lady requires 500-600 chilling hours, Gala 600-700 hours and Red Delicious is 700-900 hours. So you need to check your local chilling hours per year. I guess Pink Lady and Gala should be okay but Red Delicious is a question. Cheers

Hi Polly

Granny Smith apple originated in Eastwood NSW now a suburb of Sydney so you will succeed with apples in Sydney if you take good care of them and try to learn everything about their culture.

Happy gardening :-)
