It seems that as soon as the courier deliveres one plant, I get an email or SMS about another plant that has just become available. It would be good if you see what I am interested in, an knowing that something will be available within the next week, hold up sending for a week so both plants can be sent together. BTW, plants from the local nurserys look very disapointing compared to the ones you send us. Nick, Clear Mountain, QLD (9th Oct 2010)

The service we received was via email. The web site was easy to use for information and ordering from.Replies to inquiries and an order were prompt and clear. All plants were very carefully packaged and supported. All arrived in top condition. Amazing really since stock travelled from Brisbane to Perth, then quaranting and then another 1,400 kms to us north of perth- Carnarvon. Top service from Nexus transport at this end was also appreciated. jacoba, Carnarvon, WA (4th Oct 2010)

I ordered some bushfood plants for a school garden which are thriving. The labels on the plants we received gave some good information about the plant, its recommended conditions and which parts of the plant were edible. Thank-you to Daley's Nursery for all their assistance and great service in making this possible for the students at my school. Jude, Albanvale, VIC (4th Oct 2010)

I must add the packaging was excellent, I am involved in the freight business and would love to see everything packaged as well as these! Trevor, Lavington Dc, NSW (2nd Oct 2010)

Hi There Daleys team. Thanks for the Discount voucher and more so, thanks for the healthy plants you supplied as well as the wide varity you offer. I believe my plants are doing "alright" due to my inexperince as a gardener and in part, the location (Melbourne Hills,Vic). This has not discouraged me and I'll continue to perserver finding which plants work in my yard. On a seperate note, Daleys plants were highly regarded and recommended by many participants at a recent Permaculture course I attended. You've definately made a name for yourselves here in the Melbourne hills as a supplier of quality plants, service and support. THANKS. Hopefully you'll be recieving another order from me soon. Best Regards, Colin Anderson. Colin, Belgrave, VIC (23rd Apr 2010)

Both my orders of plants from Daleys were very quick to arrive and in great health, as they were very well packed. They are all in good health and the ones I potted up from the earlier shipment have easily doubled in size in six months. I could hardly be happier. Hopefully I will be able to stop in to the 'real' nursery very soon. Bruce, Keperra, QLD (20th Apr 2010)

Being new to the edible garden, I have been grateful the the helpful information I have received (cant wait for the fruit). I have passed your name around to friends and family. Very happy customer. But also, your range of plants is amazing. I mean a cinnamon or carob tree, who has those around!!! I am most definately a permanent customer. God Bless Lisa Lisa, Rosemeadow, NSW (19th Apr 2010)

My last order, a finger lime, is thriving in a large pot. Daleys products and service are always top line. The plants are always vigorous and healthy, the packaging totally protective and the service speedy. I have (in the past) purchased by mail order from other nurseries but would only do so now from Daleys. I recommend them to all my gardening friends. Many thanks to the pprofessional and friendly team at Daleys - always ready with their expert advice. Kay Bowden Kay, Hawthorne, QLD (17th Apr 2010)

Great plants, better than those for sale in WA. Even with the high reight costs, they even out in price if you buy enough, BUT the infrequent despatch dates does stuff you up as Daleys sometimes dont send plants you ordered and reserved. Damian, Perth Airport, WA (12th Apr 2010)

The last question is a bit unfair as I haven't actually asked for any help. The services as been of a high quality. Some suggestions for you catalog, I'm really only interested in the plants that are right for my area, it would be better if the catalog highlighted these for me better. Also you always seem to be out of the plants I want. Lyn, Clear Mountain, QLD (11th Apr 2010)

Should be able to combine shipping costs if purchasing more than one item, especially if sending in the same sized box. I would order more frequently if this was possible. Should provide shipping at cost price - not be making a profit off it, especially when being charged a handling fee also. Amelia , North Melbourne, VIC (10th Apr 2010)

You are wizards at packing, everything arrived intact and not a leaf was bent. The vigour of the plants has been wonderful, the only ones I lost were those I neglected in the hot weather when I couldn't keep up with the planting schedule so entirely my fault. I always love ordering from Daleys, I feel great about buying from a 'real' nursery (instead of the mass market places like supermarkets and hardware store chains), I love the variety you offer, I love the features on the website such as the Notify Me option for unavailable plants and I like your apparent commitment to diversity, it's great to be able to choose lesser known fruit tree varieties and I hope to see more choices in the future. I didn't really know what I was doing so this was a bit of a dabble for me. I'm really excited about the Rosellas. They love it where they are and have already fruited. I'm about to learn how to use them. The lemongrass is another plant I wish I had put in earlier. It has so many uses and looks after itself. The plants were so healthy when they arrived I haven't lost one so thank you so much for the nursery care. Robin, Mays Hill, NSW (26th Mar 2010)

My mulberry plants (dwarf black & dwarf red shahtoot) and loquat doubled in size in the 6 months following purchase. My keriberry is probably dead from heat exposure, but I plan to try again with more heat protection - possibly it is a plant better suited to a cooler climate. Gavin, Eden Hills, SA (22nd Mar 2010)

Dear Daleys, I must commend you on your service and the quality of the plants you sent. Its a long way from Daley's to Tumut( close to Wagga Wagga)but the plants arrived on time and in good condition. Regards, Dave. p.s. as a side line on another issue. For your information. I am using Windows 7 O/S and this customer survey page has not displayed very well. Looks like two pages overlaid each other. The survey is still readable, but is overlaid in a different font by, 'Search', 'Shop', etc. Hope this is a help. I had been looking at your website long before I made my first order. I was using it as a reference to find out more about plants I was buying elsewhere, because of the comprehensive description and care notes as well as the clear illustrations. Finally, this year I decided that my backyard was big enough to take more fruit trees and that my vegie bed could do with the shade. Daleys got my order and in the process I found your website was even more impressive than ever. I´d never imagined so many types of fruit existed that I didn´t know about! I was thrilled to receive the plants so speedily and in such good condition. Unfortunately this summer was pretty harsh and I managed to kill a few of the plants. unfortunately my cashew tree had the top broken off when it arrived, however it is still alive and seems to be doing well. Also, because I have found the quality of plants so good, that now is my expectation :) So in response to your first question, the quality is what I expect from Daleys, however if the same plants were from Bunnings for example, they would be well above my expectations! Well packaged and fast delivery. All plants arrived healthy with clear unpacking and "hardening" instructions. Looking forward to seeing how they fare in the coming months. Tags to alert "frost sensitivity" would be helpful to choose planting locations in garden. Always great service and communication. Plants are pakaged beautifully and are always in fabulous condition even after their long journey. I lost one tree but I believe due to planting site not the quality of the plant. I enjoy the newsletters, videos and sometimes just get on the site to have a browse because it is a great source of information-you guys do a very good job. Many businesses don't understand the online concept but you all have obviously considered the set up very carefully. Your online services are fantastic. There is plenty of information and I love being able to browse your very user friendly website. The plants are ready to grow when I get them and they have thrived, way past my expectations. I recommend Daleys to everyone. The variety of plants is also terrific.I love the newsletters, they give me ideas I might not have thought of. I bought a Panama Berry tree after reading about them in the newsletter and the whole family agrees with what was written about them, YUM!!! Deborah, Greenbank, QLD (5th Mar 2010)

I bought heaps of revegetation plants and despite mulching heavily and some watering during dry spells, many have died. Blackwattles got all eaten. Three-veined cryptocaria - half died and I have no idea why. Many of the myrtles died. Tulipwood... first went well ... then stalled growth... and when it got a bit wetter...several died. cryptic. MANY get eaten by caterpillars...despite me checking and killing all the time. I spray white oil to give teh trees a break. They didn't all die but I guess, I lost more than 1 third of the trees. etc I planted after rain. I mulched generously. I watered when it got dry. I carried many buckets of water... Today when I checked after some 10 days of rain on and off...I tallied up that I lost more than one third of the trees which I planted. astrid, Georges Creek, NSW (5th Mar 2010)

I have been very impressed with the service, thank you. To be honest, my first plant died, I confess, totally self inflicted, I did not read the instructions properly and did not have the hole prepared first. The second two, having followed the instructions to the letter, are growing very well. All the very best. Regards, Colin Scully Colin , Davidson, NSW (5th Mar 2010)

The plants I purchased were a little "exotic" for Sydney. The Blue Berry bushes were planted along a Nothern fence line all 3 plants were planted in a pot and are thriving. They never had a set back since day one. These are doing as good as the weeds around here so I am very happy. The red pitayas were planted in full sun with a trellis support. I was really worried about these guys because when we received them when the temperature was around the 40's. The plants yellowed and I was worried I over watered them. The opposite was actually true, I water them slightly more frequently and with the temperature cooler now, I have a 3" new shoot on each of them. I am very happy with Daleys nursery, your web pages are informative, not only for info on buying plants, but also for planting and looking after them. Everything is perfect with Daleys except the part where ones emails / requests are not seen eg I had a 30% discount on freight that was not applied I had a the ricks red finger lime on order and anytime I emailed an order I asked whether the fingerlime was ready...no reply. so I ordered and then the day the plants arrived I got the email saying the fingerlime was ready now it was great for you as I made 2 orders and paid 2 lots of postage, and now after these 2 orders I get a voucher that I probably won't use as I have just made 2 orders within a week.. Also other vouchers I have been given have not been applied in the past So really it is just communication..if there is a comment or request facility then I guess someone has to keep control of it cheers marg the plants are scrumptious.. margaret, Camberwell, VIC (4th Mar 2010)

I got the wrong impression about your 'Incrdible Edibles' program for getting a discount. Something in the wording seemed to imply that only commercial interests need apply. I'm new to all of this and the information provided with the plants and on the site is extremely helpful. The manner in which the plants are packed and delivered is wonderful and the plants themselves suffer no stress during the process. All my plants are going well except my Bay Tree which I need to move to a better location (I'm actually going to put it in a large pot). If they fail it's due to me or the choice of situation. Soil can be a problem as we have heavy clay though it has improved a great deal since we moved in fifteen years ago. We have a huge compost bin, use sheep manure and test the soil before planting. I tend to become enthusiastic about plants that are marginally suitable for our area which is frost free. I sometimes need to be warned and would appreciate such information on ordering. Joanna, Forestville, NSW (9th Feb 2010)

Of the two Richmond Birdwing vines, one is doing very well and the other hasn't done much at all. I think maybe it is not quite shady enough, but as I have also planted some other trees in the area I am hoping that it will survive and flourish - or should I move it to a slightly shadier spot (which would mean putting it very close to the first one)? My block slopes quite steeply, and the one that isn't doing so well is on the slope. The "good" one is lower down on a flatter area. Both are next to fencing for support. Thank you. One of the two plants i bought as a gift for my sister arrived with the leaves covered in a black fungus. I didn't want to gift it in that state so i emailed about getting a replacement for it. None of my emails were responded to and I ended up having to give the tree as a present with a bottle of fungicide. However, they arrived in good condition and I was happy. I try to buy your fruit trees whenever I am up Lismore way so was pleased to figure out that you dispatch personally. I'll be buying from you again. Many thanks for your great service Raewyn, Yarranbella, NSW (3rd Feb 2010)

Everything is doing well except the Cashew, it was knocked over by toads while I was away for a few days (hadn't planted because of the lack of rain until recently) and they dug half the soil out and it was suffering sunburn and dryness. Now, since it's rained so much it looks like it is suffering from too much water. I'm going to bonsai it and try to order more shortly. The trees condition is in no way because of Daleys service, just circumstance. David, Byron Bay, NSW (3rd Feb 2010)

The plants from my first order were attacked by a dog before I got home on the day of delivery. All were depotted and left bare rooted after some mauling for some hours. I repotted them all, 1 Fingerlime has died, 1 fingerlime is still sick and the 2 others 1 fingerlime and 1 white shatoot seem to have recovered. Unfortunately I was unable to utilise the offending animal as fertiliser. I will persevere and I will continue buying from you. Kind regards Grant GRANT, Moonee Ponds, VIC (1st Feb 2010)

My blueberries have had a tough time with extremely dry hot weather and have been attacked by grasshoppers. 1 has gone and the other 3 are just hanging on. We are expecting rain in the next day or so and hopefully they will kick on. We are hopeful. It's been a very tough season with extreme heat and lack of essential rain. Autumn may hopefully be a lot kinder to us. Jan, Molong, NSW (31st Jan 2010)

Hi, Most of the plants are amazing and absolutely above expectation for mail order plants. I've already emailed you to let you know we are having problems with our Drumstick tree, it looks as though it's dying. Also the Passionfruit has a split in the stalk where the graft is. Still, even so, we're delighted overall. Will definately order more. Thank you. Larysa. :) Larysa, Annerley, QLD (24th Jan 2010)

With the exception of one blueberry plant (who will be moved as his position is just too damp with all the rain we have had) absolutely everything we purchased from Daleys is flourishing - two of the blueberries are loaded with berries (we really weren't expecting any fruit this year)and everything else is putting out lots of new growth. We are busily scanning the catalogue for other fruits to try in our, somewhat cooler than yours, climate. We'll keep you informed as to how they are doing. I removed the piconi fig from the pot as soon as it arrived and found the roots were completely dry. The official available stock of Piconi was 0 at the time of the order but you managed to find me one. I expect it had been rejected by quality control but then reconsidered. All three figs were immediately planted in ground and kept well watered, but have only just started forming new leaves. Conditions for planting were poor at the time with unseasonal hot and dry weather, but figs I had propagated myself fared much better than yours. Now for the good news...the pomegranate is doing fine. david, Orange, NSW (10th Jan 2010)

The information provided with the plant (a pomegranate tree) was excellent. In particular, I wouldn't have considered the the importance of placing the plant into full sunlight immediately, nor the safety considerations regarding removing the plant from its shipping box. My plants arrived incredibly quickly after I placed my order. Unfortunately they arrived in such fabulously spectacular health that I was concerned that I would never be able to maintain them at that level of contentment. I have lovingly planted them and get great joy tending to them and thinking of the edible crops that they will hopefully bring. I often buy my plants from the "Dead and Dying" discount table at nurseries so if they live it is a miracle but in this case, the pressure is on since the Daleys' plants were so healthy. I look forward to placing my next order. Louisa, Coburg North, VIC (5th Jan 2010)

My order for plants was processed quickly and they arrived safely packed with instructions on how to best plant them. I currently have a donut peach, brazillian cherry, rose apple, longan, a double grafted apple tree, and a Jaboticaba which are all growing well. I can't wait until they all start to fruit but will have to wait a couple of years yet. As I live in Brisbane, I have to choose fruit which would cope with our hot climate, so I always make sure I check Daley's Nursery website to see which ones would grown well in our area. Daley's fruit trees are of the highest quality and the service is exceptional. I will also order my next tree from Daley's Nursery. Anna, Holland Park, QLD (4th Jan 2010)

I have been searching for rosella plants for some time and had my name on the Daley's database waiting for some seedlings and I was surprised to get the email saying they were available, as I thought I would have been forgotten, so, great stuff! The plants arrived in good condition and are now about twice the height they were when I planted them in a safe warm position. I call them my "rosella experiment" as I loved rosella jam as a child in Qld and can't get it here in Melbourne, so I can't wait for my first batch! Your planting/growing instructions were very helpful. Thank you for your great service, I just wish I had a bigger garden for some of your fruit trees! Sue, Kew VIC Susan, Kew, VIC (2nd Jan 2010)

The peanut butter tree and tamarillo are thriving, growing vigorously. However, the persimmon has not grown at all. There have been no new shoots. Returning today from 9 days away and 125mm of rain over that period, everything else is "bursting out all over" but all the persimmon has done is produce a couple of shoots below the graft. Actually I feel that the graft had not taken properly before you sent the plant. As you are aware I have received several plants from you over the past couple of years - and all have thrived except this persimmon. Bobbie, Red Hill, QLD (2nd Jan 2010)
