I would like to plant some trees, listed below. But I am not too sure whether these roots are going to be big roots and can damage the easement piping. and also if these trees are easy to take care
1. almond
2. citrus
3. feijoa
4. red fuji apple
5. ornamental peach
6. sugar plum

Hi alicia,
They are all easy to grow, if you're worried about damaging easement access drainage pipes and the like, you can always plant them in Bonzai bags and then dig them into the ground. Daley's sell 3 sizes of bags depending your needs. The bags are an excellent idea because they restrict the roots. There's plenty of info about them here in older posts.

Hi John,

Thanks for the answer....
after doing some more research... because im beginner here... I have some more questions to ask...
1. dwarf fuji apple
They said it needs a pollinator.. what happen if I do not have one? will the tree gives you fruit still?

and when they said its a dwarf.. whats the height of the tree?

2. sugar plum
I am looking for sugar plum here in daleys... but couldnt find it. Is there a different name for the sugar plum here? do they need a pollinator ?

3. lime and lemon
what are the type of lemon and lime that Australia usually sell in coles or woolworth?

4. thai mango
whats the maximum height of this tree and is it easy to take care?

5. do you know if daleys can make a DUO trees as in they grafted two trees in one root ? for example red fuji and granny smith?

Thank you so much....

Alicia

alicia, question 3: the only limes I have seen on sale are Tahitian limes. I guess several lemon varieties are sold, depending on what's in season.

Sugar plum might be Prune D'Agen, but not sure.

There are also KAFFIR limes where the leaves (shaped like the number 8) are mainly used for flavourings. The fruit are smallish with very rough skins. I have one alongside a Tahitian both planting out last winter & going well, but dont know how you will go in Melb.
They enjoy Dynamic lifter, sheep manure
& my 'wee visits'
