Peterpumpkineater says... Hi there, I've just moved into a new place with nothing but lawn and Cocos palms in the back yard, have cleared out the palms and hunting for several varieties of banana plants to plant out along the back fence, I'd like Red Decca, Ducasse and Blue Java, also would like to try any other interesting banana cultivars, if anyone has some pups they'd like to sell I'd be really appreciative. | About the Author Peterpumpkineater Camira 7th November 2019 10:26pm #UserID: 21186 Posts: 1 View All Peterpumpkineater's Edible Fruit Trees |

Mindy1 says... Sure thing, let me figure out postage in these COVID times (would hate to send something that didn't survive) and I'll email you. :) I find the blue java are a lot more cold tolerant, a little slower to sucker than my other varieties and throw out less suckers than others, but when they do, they're stronger and grow a lot bigger a lot quicker. | About the Author Mindy1 SUNBURY,3429,VIC 14th May 2020 10:17am #UserID: 18444 Posts: 9 View All Mindy1's Edible Fruit Trees |

Jason24 says... Hi Mindy I left a message yesterday but as I can see you have been swamped with requests but I was wondering if you are in the position to part with a blue java pup, I am quite happy to fix you up for it. I live in Adelaide and if you could part with one it would be greatly appreciated yours sincerely Jason24 | About the Author Jason24 ALBERT PARK,5014,SA 18th May 2020 6:26pm #UserID: 21290 Posts: 2 View All Jason24's Edible Fruit Trees |

Morgbundy says... Hi Mindy1, are your Blue Java bananas actually a real blue colour as some of the pictures you see online? I have some of what we have always called Blue Java bananas that have been in our family for over 50years but they aren’t a real blue colour like some of the pictures I have seen on the internet. I do love the taste of what we call Blue Java bananas but I’m keen to hear what yours are like in regards to the colour of the fruit? My email is davidnsherree@gmail.com Thanks. | About the Author Morgbundy GOOBURRUM ,4670,QLD 3rd August 2020 8:18pm #UserID: 23572 Posts: 2 View All Morgbundy's Edible Fruit Trees |

Morgbundy says... Hi jakfruit etiquette, at the moment I don’t have any fruit on my plants. I only have 4 large plants, one is coming out in flower now and the other 3 will be flowering any time. I will post some photos in the coming weeks or months. I’m not sure about them having seeds but have seen small brown/black spots in the centre of the fruit. They have a very creamy flesh with a thin skin that goes black as the fruit ages but are still edible inside. | About the Author Morgbundy GOOBURRUM ,4670,QLD 5th August 2020 7:49am #UserID: 23572 Posts: 2 View All Morgbundy's Edible Fruit Trees |

Jadelink says... How do they manage Melbournes winter when compared to other varieties? I'm good with dwarf cavendish and Pisang Ceylon, though the Red daka's are suffering a bit, would like to know if the blue java could make it. Also, can you get them to grow in pots like the smaller varieties, or do they get too big. I know they are taller but no idea of the root ball size. | About the Author Jadelink BRUNSWICK,3056,VIC 26th August 2020 8:25pm #UserID: 21856 Posts: 19 View All Jadelink's Edible Fruit Trees |
