brown dieback on Pecan

    1 responses

PGreen starts with ...
I planted this Pecan in late winter and it really sprung to life with the arrival of warmer weather. Unfortunately a number of the shoots withered and died shortly afterwards. I was wondering if this was this result of a pest, fungus or something else and if anyone could recommend a treatment?

Kind Regards

Phil

We've had a very dry start to spring - do you think it is stressed for water at all? Some shoot dieback maladies affect pecan trees in spring summer but are of unknown cause. There are a few articles about it on the internet.
