Hi
If anyone has grown ivory curl trees from seed, could they tell me how long they take to germinate. I've been unable to this on the internet
Thanks.

If you collect loads of seeds from street or wild trees you will find a disappointing germination rate.I planted some a long time ago and remember they took months instead of weeks as I expected. The trees are worthwhile as few proteads produce as many flowers or induce as much excitement in nectar feeding birds and insects.

Thanks Mike. I'm happy to wait now. I potted up a lot more than I need, just in case. I collected from a couple of beautiful street trees... fingers crossed.

Leelee when you are keen to make sure a few seeds sprout when you have a lot treat groups differently. Different potting mixes, amounts of light and water are one way to do this. You could put some in a clip lock bag with slightly moistened potting mix and plant them out when roots emerge.
