Citrus Rootstock Changing Colour

Afternoon All,

Just wondering what everyone's opinion is on the attached photo.

The stem is changing colour almost 3/4 of the way up on some. I've been told by one person its too much sun while another person has said its fine, you only graft to the top 5-6 inches.

Looks like its changing colour more then 5-6 inches from the bottom.

The leaves are fine.

Regards,

Rob

The plant is a Poncirus "Flying Dragon". The older lowest part of the plant has white patches as bark starts to develop.
The dark green upper part with the huge curved thorns is the youngest new growth.
Looks fine to me.

Thx jakfruit,

How far up should i expect the bark to change colour, at this rate i wont be able to graft on the green as its going to high up.

Most of them are only 6-8mm thick

You can graft on the gray/green area no worries. The bark is slipping here and now.
