Different Coloured Banana's

Mark starts with ...
Hi. Are all Banana's Yellow in colour, or are there varieties in different colours? I have never had much success growing banana's before, but that was when I lived in Melbourne right on the bay. .. Oh, I should say, that I did try the Forum Search before posting this, but I only got sent off to totally Unrelated sites!

Red Dacca have a reddish fruit
Java Blue look very blue when unripe.
thare are others that have different shades of yellow, gold or orangey coloured skin.
flesh colour varies a bit too.
velvet banana (Musa velutina), an ornamental seedy type has a velvety textured skin and is a bright pink banana that peels itself open when ripe.
then there are people who will swear that a banana isn't ripe until the skin is all black :-)

Some fruits are ripe when green , like PISANG Raja , I have eaten Mona Lisa sweet soft with green peel .
Bluggoe being a plantain needs to really ripen up .
