G'day, I would suggest a dwarf red shahtoot mulberry, the tree is small and attractive and the fruit is extra sweet and very long (perfect if you find the standard black mulberries to small or sour!)

You're unlikely to get a reply in this forum from a Daley's rep-it's more a public forum.
Note that edible mulberries (the nicest- black ones) stain badly- could be a drama with the kids clothes.

Dwarf red shatoot is nice- very long fruit and very sweet- the kids would like that (not tart at all). Another possibility would be Hicks Fancy- it's a black one though- a little more tart if not completely ripe- and will stain clothes. Personally I prefer the flavour of the Hicks - the red shatoot is a too sweet for me.

As far as keeping them small goes- you could get a weeping variety or prune them regularly to keep them small. Mulberries fruit from the base of new shoots anyway so regular pruning keeps the size down- they'll also grow happily in a large (50-60cm pot).

Cheers,

Daniel
