Eggplant and Capsicum from cutting?

Hi Everyone,
This year I have taken to using suckers from my greenhouse tomatoes to get an easy start on my outdoor tomatoes.
I cut of suckers, put them in water for a week, transplant to polystyrene cups and then put them in the ground.
My question is can the same method be used for peppers and eggplants?

Thanks John, that's news to me. But do capsicum and eggplant produce those little side shoots like tomatoes? I haven't noticed, but I'll check mine a bit later in the season.

On this topic, I have capsicum plants from last year I still haven't made a decision on. Last time I kept them going the fruit were quite small the following sesaon, and I didn't think it worth the bother.

Would I be better off taking cuttings from them, or feeding them up and hoping they do OK?
