My finger lime is in a pot in the poly house. It lost all its leaves and is still bare. I have had it for a year and it has not grown very much. Any suggestions. Also, any advice on best spot to plant our in our temperate Zone 4 climate. Thanks, Kaisu

well, the first thing you need to do is get it out of the polyhouse, because they don't like humidity. They are a forestry species, not a rainforest species per se. Alhough they do occur naturally in rainforest (ish) settings, they are likely to be found next to streams/creeks so ar cooled pretty much all of the time. Second thing you need to do is make sure your mix is perfectly draining--standing free draining. Hit it with some citrus fertilizer also.
