Finger limes going brown on end

Hi, I have a finger lime tree. I have only had it for 2 months now, it’s still in a pot. It is producing fruit, but the fruit is green on one end and brown on the other. It’s quite hard and tough. Would anyone know what would cause this?

Thank you

The two colours on the fruit, and the hardness of the fruit are normal. When ripe cut it open half way along and squeeze the beads out from the cut working back. They have a slight pungency which makes it give a nice tasting sprinkle on a dish. Not exactly for a meal in itself so use it as you would a normal lime.
