Fatenhappy1 starts with ... Hi folks ... Would not believe it but in the past 24 hours or so I have broken 3 pairs of garden secateurs ... all in different ways and not just through brute force. In desperation I finished up ringing my brother-in-law who has commercial experience with gardening and turns out that he has no guidance or answers. Regardless of either brand or cost I can't find any "known" brands out there that are good old fashion quality! So, now over to you guys (I hope!) .... Tongue in cheek and almost regardless of cost, any ideas on where I can get good quality hand tools that ... "perform as advertised for the duration" ? ... Taa and thanks in advance, Greg | About the Author Fatenhappy1 Briibie Island SEQ 5th September 2015 2:06pm #UserID: 7120 Posts: 4 View All Fatenhappy1's Edible Fruit Trees |

jakfruit etiquette says... Where are you buying them from ? How much are you paying per tool ? Even Bunnings has very few any good for serious pruning work ie 100's of vines per day in a vineyard. One of my faves are these The Original Löwe 8.104 anvil pruning shears feature the ‘best of both worlds’, utilizing anvil technology with bypass geometry. http://greenreview.blogspot.com.au/2012/09/original-lowe-8104-anvil-secateurs.html I would shop online/overseas as they can be expensive locally. | About the Author jakfruit etiquette vic 5th September 2015 5:32pm #UserID: 5133 Posts: 915 View All jakfruit etiquette's Edible Fruit Trees |

Fatenhappy1 says... Yes realise different tools for different thicknesses and no I did not just buy the cheap brands ... in-fact far from it .... But thanks for your thoughts thus far anyway! If you go to the Bunnings Web site for example there are no real guide lines there either, nor from what I see any other ways of distinguishing the chaff from the fodder !! | About the Author Fatenhappy1 Briibie Island SEQ 6th September 2015 12:22pm #UserID: 7120 Posts: 4 View All Fatenhappy1's Edible Fruit Trees |
