denise1 says... You probably have the Wheeny grapefruit, bred in the 1930s at Wheeny Creek, near Kurrajong NSW. It is one of the popular grapefruits grown in NZ. To keep such a vigorous variety small, you need to restrict the soil volume that it is growing in. Just as you would do for a bonsai. wendy starts with ... Does anyone have a Teeny Weeny Grapefruit tree. Mine has been in just two years and just finished fruiting for the first time after producing in excess of 40 huge, all over 1.2kg, incredibly juicy, thin skinned, yellow flesh fruit. I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this and when should I prune it as I would like to keep it to a manageable height.
