Does anyone have a Teeny Weeny Grapefruit tree. Mine has been in just two years and just finished fruiting for the first time after producing in excess of 40 huge, all over 1.2kg, incredibly juicy, thin skinned, yellow flesh fruit. I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this and when should I prune it as I would like to keep it to a manageable height. This really is an amazing tree and I guess its name is a play on words.

You probably have the Wheeny grapefruit, bred in the 1930s at Wheeny Creek, near Kurrajong NSW. It is one of the popular grapefruits grown in NZ. To keep such a vigorous variety small, you need to restrict the soil volume that it is growing in. Just as you would do for a bonsai.

Can anyone tell me if it is worth growing Marsh Seedless grapefuit in Sydney? Is there enough heat to develop a good flavour?
