Pademelon1 says... Hi Bangkok, Vanilla roots are non-invasive, but stick to the host surface with strong vigour. Because of this, whilst it shouldn't hurt the host, It is probably best to avoid growing it on trees that shed bark often, or on trees prone to deep fissures.
