Markmelb says... Yeah - Velvick is used as a rootstock for its salt tolerance not so much for phytophthora resistance but i believe it may have some - maybe a bit better than Reed as a rootstock. I got a Secondo from Daleys last year with Velvick and is doing well on a raised mulch mound but they also use Reed too alot.
