lawn grub in pots

    2 responses

Lisa, brisbane starts with ...
Can anyone suggest how to eradicate lawn grub from pots with fruit trees. So far I have lost a peach and pear tree to these little guys. I have a lot of bird and other wildlife and am reluctant to use the commercially available products nor am i keen to use detergent in pots. Thankyou Lisa

The old fashoned way was to immerse the pot completely in water, the grubs work their way to the top looking for air, you pick em up and squash em.

Takes at least 4 hours and you need to make sure the plant will tolerate the water logging.
