maxzoo says... i have a lychee that regularly drops leaves, it seems to be a pattern of leaf drop when new leaves emerge. Very sensitive plant, put it in a protected area and maybe just wait and see what it does. You can't be heavy handed with a lychee, they are real babies and need things just right. They are very slow growers also. I agree it could have been something that happended before you purchased it.
