I have a young Dwarf Mango tree approx 3 yrs old, just 1.5m high, its keeps flowering no mater how much I pick the flowers off.
What should I do?

Thank you.

I suppose this is a silly question, why do you keep picking the flowers off?
Don't you want it to bear?
I'd let it be :-)

Brendan, I am not sure if the tree is old enough to maintain the fruit. The trunk is only 2" in diameter.
Sure I would like it to bear fruit, but
I have heard from people that the first few years one should let the tree grow.
The question is when should I let it bear fruit?

Hi Geoff - maybe you should let it carry one or two fruit, on each branch, only. This may sastisfy the tree that it's reproducing :) and also test the strength of your branches - without overloading them?

As it's 3yrs old I would have thought it would be ok by now - it's height is not so much a factor - but how strong the branches are and the strength of the junction between the branch and trunk.
