nectarine trees

I have a very small nectarine tree and it is loaded with fruit ( this is only the second year I have had it planted) is my fruit at risk of fruit fly, my first crop of apricots were lost to fruit fly and if so can I save my fruit now

Yes definitely at risk. Seems to be order of priority for attck Apricots, nectarines, peaches at my place in that order. They will all get stung here eventually though as I have a lot of fruit fly due to neighbors.

I would certainly be protecting it yes. Individual exclusion bags or whole of tree net.
