Scott G says... The Beach Cherry does best in part shade but will tolerate full sun if given enough water. It is native to QLD and has superb tasting fruits. I recommend it. http://www.abc.net.au/queensland/stories/s1738525.htm http://www.daleysfruit.com.au/plant/Beach-Cherry-Eugenia-Reinwardtiana.htm | About the Author Scott G The Gold Coast 18th March 2008 1:41pm #UserID: 44 Posts: 117 View All Scott G's Edible Fruit Trees |
michael says... I heard recently from a very knowledgeable mate from Guatemala that Canistel is an understorey tree ..mmmm maybe thats why some do not bear as well when they are out in full sun . I have planted mine on the edge of a gully and put a solitary Fishtail for protection until the Durians and Jakfruit get up .My Mum has a superior grafted Canistel in Childers , cv.
