I'm growing Nellie Kelly Grafted Black Passionfruit in keysborough and they've been doing well.

Not sure about other varieties though

The most cold hardy is the banana passionfruit. Even so, mine took a knock in the cold spell a week or so ago and is currently looking pretty average. It should bounce back though.
A black passionfruit might do well in a sheltered spot but I wouldn't waste my time trying the more heat loving panama types, unless you have a fantastic microclimate.
